Keen on establishing a foothold in the American market for its SingStar Karaoke Franchise, Sony has release SingStar 80s and SingStar Amped. With the former you can sing your favorite songs from the 1980s while with the later you sing classic and contemporary music.

The features of these games are identical in terms of the set and presentation, to the last two SingStar releases, Pop and Rocks. This means that the are both serviceable, no frills karaoke packages, with the only difference being the two being the song lists, which are top notch.

With the name, SingStar Rocks you would expect to have a hard-core karaoke experience, but the lineup of Gloria Gaynor and Elton John is baffling. SingStar Amped track list is more appealing, because most of the artist can be describe rockers, with notable names such as Audioslave, Blink 182, Alice in Chains, Cheap Pries, Pearl Jam, The Ramones, Radio Head Seppenwolf, ZZ Top and Sublime to name a few.

It seems like a lot of though were put into the lineup of artist for the track list of SingStar Amped, because it contains classics such as Steppenwolf’s, Born to be wild, and More than a feeling from Boston’s. Hits like Best of you from the Foo Fighters, and Nirvana’s Come as you are and you sure are in for an amazing time.

If you have never owned or played a SingStar game before, all of the previous releases of this Playstation 2 Video Game menu is identical and it allows you to play individual songs for points, and it also offers a multi-player capability for as many a eight players, while engaging in competitive gameplay.

Included are song medleys, score attacks and challenges such as pass the microphone. You can also record your performances playback or review, and you can make yourself sound like a robot using vocal filters. Just like the previous releases, the are music video of the various artists performing as you sing their songs, but you can also use the Eye Toy camera if you want to see yourself as you dance to the lyrics.

Included in the Amped’s packages are a pair of microphones and a USB adapter. Each game has 30 games on its track list, which is a reasonable deal. This Playstation 2 Video Game is likely to become antiquated with the soon to be release feature rich and online enabled PS3. So for the moment you can enjoy all that SingStar Amped have to offer you.

Final Fantasy X is a console role- playing game developed by Square Enix and it the tenth in the Final Fantasy series. It was first released in 2001 for the Playstation 2 Video Game console. Final Fantasy X has sold around 6.6 million units worldwide and was voted by readers of the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu to be the greatest video game of all-time. Set in the fantasy world of Spira, the game’s story centers around a group of adventurers and their quest to defeat a rampaging force known as “Sin”.

Final Fantasy X marks the Final Fantasy series’ transition from entirely Pre-rendered backdrops to fully three –dimensional areas, which was achieved by use of the PlayStation 2 video game Emotion Engine processor. Although pre-rendered backgrounds are not entirely absent, their use has been restricted to less vibrant locations, such as building interiors. Final Fantasy X is also the first game in the series to feature a wide range of realistic facial expressions, as well as other technological developments in graphical effects achieved, such as variance in lighting and shadow from one section of a character’s clothing to the next. Final Fantasy X is also the first in the series to feature Voice-over actors, as well as the first to spawn a direct sequel, Final Fantasy X 2.

There are other significant advances in the Final Fantasy X series. For example because of the use of the voice-overstep scenes in the game are paced according to the time it takes for the dialogue to be spoken, whereas in the previous games series incorporated scrolling subtitles. Final Fantasy X features changes in world design, with a focus placed on realism. The game play makes a significant departure from past games as well, incorporating several new elements.

Final Fantasy X like the previous series is presented in the third-person, with players directly navigating the main character, Yuna. Or Tidus sometimes, around the world to interact with objects and people. Unlike in previous games, however, the world and town maps have been fully integrated, with terrain outside of cities rendered to scale. When an enemy is encountered, the environment switches to a Turn based “battle area” where characters and enemies must await their turn to attack.

Players are given the opportunity to develop and improve their characters by defeating enemies and acquiring items, though the traditional Experience point system was replaced by a new system called the “Sphere Grid”. The game was initially going to feature online elements, but these were dropped during production, and online multi-player gaming would not become part of the Final Fantasy series until Final Fantasy X.

Want to be a Popstar? If your answer is yes, then the Playstation 2 Video Game Singstar is for you and you would finally have the opportunity to emulate your pop star hero. This video game carries a range of titles from Legends and Anthems.

SingStar was created to take karaoke to the next level. The pub has given people the opportunity to becomes legends due to their renditions of Robbie’s ‘Angels’, or Whitney’s ‘ I will always love you.

But with the Playstation 2 Video Game Singstar you will be challenge to try something different, with levels of difficulty ranging from ‘easy’ where even the tone deaf score points, to ‘hard’ where you need to be note perfect. You can choose whether to sing a duet where two players sing alternate parts and the best player at the end wins, or the straight forward sing off.

This Playstation 2 Video Game comes complete with videos and footage along with on screen lyrics so if you can sing ‘Come On Eileen’ whilst trying not to laugh at Dexy’s Midnight Runners in their dungarees, and not being struck utterly speechless at how different the actual words are to those you used to sing at family parties, you’ll be doing well.

All the games can be bought with the microphones and adapter or without, though once you’ve got two mics, you can just buy the games from that point onwards. Karaoke may be passé but having played this game, I can attest that it is addictive and I’m not surprised it is turning into the runaway PS2 success of the year. Go on, take the mic – you know you want to!!

You can buy this game complete with the microphones and adapters or without, though once you’ve got two microphones, you can just buy the games from that point onwards. You can become additive to this game, no wonder it is turning into the runaway Playstation 2 Video Game success of the year.

Previously its developer had created Frequency and Amplitude. All of these games are music based games where you have to button or strum your way through a song. Frequency which was created first is rated higher that the sequel Amplitude. Even though Amplitude has a better shared multiplayer view, the song weren’t so good and feeling of actually playing the music was decrease.

The tradition of the previous game is carried on in Guitar Hero, and it is an improvement over Amplitude. I has a guitar controller, which is a half-size plastic guitar with five coloured buttons on the neck. You “strum” a two inch long lever, and the guitar even includes a bendy bar.

The controller gives the feel like Amplitude or Frequency while it is being used, except that you sometimes have to hold down the notes over time, which wasn’t a feature in the previous games. The ability to use the joystick is handy when you are in the two player mode against a friend and you cannot afford to buy a second guitar.
You may ask yourself how do I actually play a song? Easy to learn, difficult to master.

The coloured buttons on the neck correspond to coloured dots on the moving score of the song. As the score approaches you, and as coloured dots approach and cross a line right in front of you, you have to have the correct coloured button held down as you strum the guitar. the note will then change to a different one, so you will have to change your fingering before your next strum.

It is easier than it sounds. You can check the IGN website for Guitar Hero videos. This Playstation 2 Video Game has excellent songs, and offer great multiplayer actions. You can use the multiplayer option with a controller or for better enjoyment why not get another guitar . If you love music and you have a Playstation 2 Video Game console why not purchase this game and have a blast.

Problems? Yes, a few. My biggest complaint (though not that big in absolute terms – this is a great game) is that the mapping of music tracks to game tracks isn’t as fun as many of the tracks in Frequency and Amplitude were. In those game you’d really get into a groove and really enjoy how the tracks were arranged by the developers.

Guitar Hero doesn’t have quite the same creativity when it came to laying down the tracks. As well, the game ramps up in difficulty way too fast. The hardest setting is clearly impossible for everyone without a genetically enhanced metabolism. (This was also a problem with Frequency and Amplitude.)

Does this game has any problems? Yes it does have a few. The mapping of the music tracks to the game tracks is not as good as in Frequency or Amplitude. Those games really got you in the groove because of how the tracks were arranged by the developers. Guitar Hero do not have the same creativity with the tracks. The hardest setting is clearly impossible for everyone without a genetically enhanced metabolism. Which was a problem with Frequency and Amplitude. However do not get distracted by these hiccups, because otherwise this a Playstation 2 Video Game which offers lots of fun.

A Playstation 2 Video Game based on the movie Star Wars which was released back in 2005. A few changes was rendered into it when it was made into a video game, the most apparent being that it was made of the popular building block toy—Lego. The game was made specifically for children but even adults can enjoy playing it.

A sequel to this game has now been made by its developers. This is an action/adventure Playstation 2 Video Game that is reminiscent of the original movie. The action is a full combination of foot levels and opportunities to ride vehicles such as Millennium Falcon, AT-ST walkers, and speeder bikes.

The game consist of two main modes of play: Story and Free Play.In the Story mode, one or two players can play through the entire gaming adventure as characters from the movie. The levels you have competed in usually are saved automatically allowing you to come back to them during Free Play. It is even possible to allow someone to join you if you are in the middle of a game. You and your friend can enjoy the same game by you just plugging in another controller.

The game is started with Mos Eisley Cantina, which is the central hub for all levels. There are also three lounges labeled IV, V and VI, where you access the levels.
You start off with the first level of episode IV available, and once you have completed that more levels will be opened.

The only thing lacking in this Playstation 2 Video Game is that it does not allow online play.
An online match of this Lego game would be interesting , but this game promises so much action that this is not really seen as liability. Meanwhile, the shorter loading times for the game is a really good thing as you do not waste so much of your time waiting between levels.

The only thing is that the characters have infinite lives, the difficulty level is practically do not exist in this game. You would earn a penalty if your character is killed, and it will reappear later on in the game.

The controls for this game is simple, requiring only single buttons to make different moves such as attack, to unlock special abilities, switching between characters and jumping. However, other times you would need a specific control for your character to do certain things. If you want to switch into a particular character in the middle of a game, simply face that character and press the triangle button.

You would not be disappointed with the graphics which is in this game. Even minor glitches might be too minor to affect your overall enjoyment of this game. And with sounds that are so much alike that of the movie, there is some huge reason for you to be nostalgic of the film.

It has a twist to the ending of the original movie, and then I moves on from there. Tony, after being held captive by Sosa’s men, vows to take his revenge.

He also want to reclaim his position as Miami’s ultimate drop dealer. Throughout the game,Tony will have to gain turfs and purchase fronts for his drug trades. All the while, he must maintain his empire and make more money from selling drugs.

To achieve this, Tony would have to bring down his enemies, while at the same time increase his reputation. As rival gangs try to take over the city which is under your control, you have to make sure to protect them while you continue to buy business to front you drug deals. The more money you get, the more power you will have and an increase in power will also boost your reputation.

From the get go, you will have limited options. Your reputation is the key to rebuilding your empire, you will have to complete missions, buy fronts and other items to build you reputation slowly. But you can only buy things if you have money and you can get it by buying cocaine. Eventually, when your reputation level has increased tremendously, you can have an almost unlimited access to any sort of weapon or vehicle that you need.
You will have to start off by selling your drugs to street dealers, then move up the ladder to large supplies where you get the opportunity to earn more money. With the fronts you have purchased, you can distribute your drugs, and you will make more money. This will displease your rival gangs, leading them to plot on bringing down your front businesses. Therefore you would have to consider hiring a henchman and even employ the use of surveillance systems to protect your investments.

2There will only be four turfs in the city of Miami and for each turf, you would have to obtain different fronts. since, some of these fronts are already controlled by gangs. You will have to eliminate your rival gangs so you can explore the rest of the city and find new turfs to explore.

You will have to talk to the managers so you can gain their trust which will eventually give you the opportunity to do business with them. Cocaine is produce on a separate island where you will be making deals with certain large suppliers. As soon as you have secured your fronts and a warehouses, you can smuggle your supply of cocaine from the island to there.

To protect your fronts, you will need lots of guns .From the beginning, you’ll have only limited access to a number of guns in your arsenal but you will soon be able to increase your options as you also increase your reputation. With better reputation, you’d have a wide array and good selection of guns like hand guns, automatic rifles, shotguns and rocket launchers.

This is just a start, you can also adjust there accuracy, silencing mechanics, and some other options to make your attack even deadlier. As a drug lord who are engage in guns fights with rival gangs, police will eventually be on your tail. To keep the police in check and to keep them off you, you will have to bribe them.. This will cost you allot of money.

You should not cause the police be on your tail by stealing cars, rather you should make a call for someone to bring a car for you to get you out of trouble. Only when you reputation is better you will be able to purchase fast cars. With a variety of car at you disposal with there own traits, you can either have a car with lots of speed or a car that offer a lot of protection.

When engage in any battle with your enemies, try not to be disturb if the gangs seems to be too hot to handle. Tony has a range meter that builds up with each act you perform using the balls. You can earn this ball by driving skillfully, conversations with pedestrians, and even taunting you victims. With the meter filled up, Tony gets very powerful and he can attack multiples gangs at the same time. The range meter last for only a short time, but it is just right for getting you out of tight spots.

With an increase in ball levels, femme fatales will appear on your map. You should try to meet them and convince them to stay at your mansion, this will boost your health, range meter and stamina. These femme fatales would be a welcome addition to Tony’s growing collection of exotic items. Your reputation will be increase with each exotic item you purchase because of the price and the rarity of the items you have bought.

One of the best weapon Tony has in arsenal is his intimidation meter. It often works to his advantage by acquiring greats rates in the bank, or settle a very lucrative deal, which enables him to squeeze his way out of a potential bust by the cops. You must be able to time your press and release the button as soon as the meter is filled. Be sure not press the button too long or too short, for you might end up with a bad drug deal or even loose your money to the cops.

The technical aspects of the game play is close to the movie, even the overall look of the game. Dealing with the drugs and the underground businesses, you need to use the environment to create the mood for that, and what better place you can get other than Miami? which was able to create Miami into the game of Scarface.
Being a major part of the game, sounds can either make or break it for the game.

The voice acting for scarface is simply astounding . The connection between the actual events and the voice acting of the game is just great. Well done to the actors who use their voices in the game. This game comes with some of the best bands and artists around. The game also comes with the original sound track of the movie, hence it makes you feel as though you are watching the movie, but of course you will be playing the game with the added bonus of you being in control of Tony.

If you had not gotten enough of the action/adventure of the original Scarface movie,Sosa’s betrayal does not bring you down. Although your empire might have been snatched away from you, you are even more determined to rebuild it and gain power of it. If there is anything that could take you right into the twisted world of drug a lord and see how it works. Why not Join Tony’s adventures as he proves he deserves to be on the top.
