It’s a continuing controversy – should you as a printer owner use OEM printer cartridges or compatible printer ink cartridges. The cartridges that usually come with and share the same brand as your printer. They are costly. Naturally, manufacturers claim OEM brings you better printouts and will not cause any malfunction in your printer. On the other hand, compatible ink cartridges are either refilled cartridges of branded names, or are generic ones. They are cheaper. Which of these is better to use? Will you be better off using OEM or compatible cartridges? One study shows that compatible printer ink cartridges can print more pages compared to their branded counterparts, and at much less the branded cartridge’s cost.
